A ductless mini-split heats and cools a room, or several, with no ductwork: an outdoor unit feeds one or more wall or ceiling units inside. We install and service them.
What is a ductless mini-split?
A mini-split is a split system with the air handler moved into the room. A small outdoor unit connects to the indoor units by refrigerant lines and a thin cable, so nothing has to run through walls, attic or crawlspace the way ductwork does.
What does the work look like?
When does a mini-split make sense?
- The house has no ducts.
- An addition, a converted garage or another room the existing system cannot reach.
- One room that is always too hot or too cold.
- A space where new ductwork will not fit.
- Rooms that need different temperatures.
If the rest of the house is happy, one indoor unit in the problem room is often the simplest fix. If the whole place is the problem, we will say so.
